Calling all stenographers!

Are you wanting to attain a realtime certification or other higher certification designation behind your name? Do you get really nervous when someone mentions the word "test"? Do all the extra steps to taking a realtime certification online stress you out?

Well, CCRA has the resources for you! CCRA will again be offering the Colorado Realtime Certified Reporter (CRCR) test this September IN PERSON on September 11, 2021, in Genesee, Colorado, in conjunction with a great seminar lineup!

In order to help prepare for this in-person testing, the Advanced Writing Workshops will be offering a "30 Days to Better Testing" workshop FREE to all CCRA members beginning Sunday, May 16th. It will be four weeks of one-hour deep dives into personalized struggles you may be facing in your writing and tips on how to systematically attack those struggles head on.

The exact same class will be offered two times each week (Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings) in order to give you an opportunity to attend one of them and walk away with that week's homework, worksheets, and personalized tips. Please see below for detailed schedule.

Need some CEUs? At the end of the 30-day session, you will be given all the paperwork you will need to apply for NCRA CEU credits after attending these powerful classes. NCRA's cost to each reporter is currently $45 for individual submission; CCRA is not pre-approving these in order to be able to offer these sessions free to all.

The last three weeks of June will dedicate the Sunday and Wednesday time slots exclusively to actual practice sessions. During this time, you will be encouraged to analyze what you practice on your own time.

The Sunday and Wednesday time slots in July and August will take all of those reporters who took advantage of the tools learned in the "30 Days to Better Testing" and will apply that knowledge to more practice sessions where you will be able to practice dictation and then analyze your writing with additional tips along the way in order to maximize changes that will get you ready for that realtime test.

We'll also dedicate a couple of late-August/early-September sessions to going over the rules for testing, including word prep tips, turning off your audio, writing in test mode, saving your file in all caps, putting that file on a USB drive, and how to make sure you've complied with the rule of deleting all the files off your hard drive and steno machine.

We've got work to do to get you ready! Let's get started! CCRA is here for you and wants each of you to reach your goals.
